Mother Fucking Sad!!! |
|
I LOVED this song when I first heard it on Lost Dogs, but just recently it has reached #1 on my list of "most bestest Pearl Jam songs*." *This list is always subject to change.

Welcome to the "Sad" club. I got this CD for my birthday when i was out in California. Instant classic!! This has been one of if not my favorite Pearl Jam song of all time. For sure i have played this on Jukeboxes more than any other song. Start to finish just a sweet tune and great groove. Eddie's voice excellent per usual!
I'll check out the video when i get home and have sound. I just remember being at the concert at excell hearing this. I was so pumped. The san fran sad was better because i was more drunk, but both are awesome.

Awesome Video, and great sound. Definately a highly underrated song. That real sad (pardon the pun) thing is that this was not included on Binaural.

when i got lost dogs i liked it right away, but it wasn't a top one for me. but hagi has gotten me to really love it, and i agree it is up there for me now too. i also like how some nights eddie plays it and some he doesn't, can't think of many other songs where the band members kind of switch parts, besides inside job which mike and stone take turns on the intro. i taught myself to play this one as well, really fun to play, intro/verse, chorus, solo, all good.

We threw down a nice setlist at the bar last night. Alot of Lost Dogs found their way. At one point i believe we went..
Fatal, Sad, Otherside...Can't really beat that. Otherside is one of my favs. There are so many songs you just forget about some. I love the lyrics and flow of that tune, just keeps rolling along. Nice close to the set as well with Present Tense and Inside Job for the big finish.
Nice work GD, another successful show!!

No No No...We just hit up the jukebox. We put in $10 and then alternate plays. We started with some other artists, Guster, Osychadelic furs, flaming lips, sonic youth, then broke into the PJ show.
Normally we'll just go all PJ and try to stay true, but we had some other folks along.
Hammering a good jukebox is a must.
